Tom is responsible for managing the internal operations at VillageReach. In this capacity, he sets policy and oversees all administrative aspects of the organization, in the areas of finance, budgeting, human resources, and grants management. Through his participation on the management team, he also contributes to the development of the organization’s strategic direction.

Tom has more than 20 years of work experience in the nonprofit sector. He served as Grants and Budget Manager with Health Alliance International for more than six years, and has consulted with numerous other international NGOs, including Mercy Corps, CARE India, and Grameen Technology Center. In Washington, DC, Tom served as Development Director of Bread for the City, a human service organization serving low-income residents of that city. He holds an MPA from the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington, and a B.A. from Bates College, Lewiston, ME.

Jenesil provides general administrative support to the Seattle Office of VillageReach, and handles daily office management responsibilities. Jenesil also assists with VillageReach’s donor and online communications.

Jenesil holds a BA in Political Science, with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining VillageReach, Jenesil served as the Projects and Office Manager at the United Nations Association – San Diego Chapter, where she developed and coordinated projects promoting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. She also served as a research intern for the Fund for Peace in Washington, D.C., evaluating the potential for conflict in post-war Iraq. Jenesil has extensive volunteer experience, which includes time with the Somali Family Service of San Diego, the International Rescue Committee, and AfricaAid.

Jillian provides general financial support to the Seattle Office of VillageReach.

Jillian holds a BA in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Washington.  Prior to joining Village Reach, Jillian held various financial positions in local government organizations. Jillian volunteers for several organizations by teaching financial literacy; providing advocacy for victims of domestic violence; and mediating parent-teen disputes.
