Ron1.jpgAs the Technology Director, Ron is responsible for the vision and implementation of VillageReach’s information communications technology work, including VillageReach’s participation in the recently launched OpenLMIS initiative.  Ron has over twenty years of experience in information technology, encompassing software development, databases ranging from the workstation to very large scale enterprise level, and web-based systems and cloud-based services.  Ron has been responsible for leading teams of software developers and managing software projects in entrepreneurial startups, for-profit corporations, and nonprofit biotech and medical research organizations.  Most recently, Ron has worked with a number of research and public health organizations, including the Institute for Human Virology (IHV), IHV Nigeria, Samford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine and SightLife., with projects including patient medical records systems, and cloud-based systems for operating corneal eye banks in middle- and low-income countries.   Ron has an MS in Management Science from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, an MS in Computer Science from MIT, and a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington.

SarahAs Technology Manager in the Information Systems Group, Sarah is responsible for program and project management across VillageReach’s technology portfolio. Sarah works with VillageReach teams and partners to understand their needs, build relationships, and deliver innovative technology solutions to support program success.

Sarah brings over a decade of experience in business analysis, agile development, and product management in telecom,  social enterprises, non-profit, and government sectors. Her past projects include leading telecom projects in Europe and Africa, building collaboration tools for Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grantees, developing new systems for Seattle Public Schools, and engineering OSS architecture at AT&T Wireless. Sarah has a B.S. in Computing Software Systems and graduate work in Public Policy and International Studies from the University of Washington.

Josh Zamor works with the Information Systems Group as a Software Development Engineer and is responsible for technical development of VillageReach’s software technologies.

Josh brings to VillageReach five years of experience developing web-applications for government and non-profit organizations and more than two yeas experience working and living in Tanzania from his service with the United State’s Peace Corps as an Information Communications Technology teacher.  Josh’s past projects include the development of Grand Canyon National Park’s Online Weighted Lottery web-application, Grand Canyon River Outfitters Association’s Online Launch Calendar web-application, co-founding Peace Corps Tanzania’s ICT Committee and developing Peace Corps Tanzania’s Volunteer Resource website.  Josh has a B.S. in Computer Science from Northern Arizona University.

Tatenda Mutenga is responsible for the execution of the Mozambique VillageReach Monitoring and Evaluation system promoting  and strengthening the use of the vaccine Dedicated Logistics System.

He has over 10 years of experience in developmental processes such as program development and management, research and analysis, capacity building, and supporting Monitoring and Evaluation systems. For 6 years he managed Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has knowledge and practical experience for Sub-sector and Value Chain Analyses, Development and Market Linkages. He supported implementation of various Value Chain and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects.

He also has vast knowledge of methodologies, advisory techniques and practical experiences for community development projects incorporating Food Security and Nutrition, HIV/AIDS and gender mainstreaming using Socio-Economic and Gender Analysis (SEAGA). He holds a BSc (Honours) in Agriculture and Natural Resources from Africa University, and finalizing for an MSc in Rural Development with Eduardo Mondlane University.
