Ron1.jpgAs the Technology Director and Group Lead, Information Systems Group, Ron is responsible for the vision and implementation of VillageReach’s information communications technology work, including VillageReach’s participation in the recently launched OpenLMIS initiative.  Ron has over twenty years of experience in information technology, encompassing software development, databases ranging from the workstation to very large scale enterprise level, and web-based systems and cloud-based services.  Ron has been responsible for leading teams of software developers and managing software projects in entrepreneurial startups, for-profit corporations, and nonprofit biotech and medical research organizations.  Most recently, Ron has worked with a number of research and public health organizations, including the Institute for Human Virology (IHV), IHV Nigeria, Samford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine and SightLife., with projects including patient medical records systems, and cloud-based systems for operating corneal eye banks in middle- and low-income countries.   Ron has an MS in Management Science from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, an MS in Computer Science from MIT, and a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington.

Jeremy KeetonJeremy joined VillageReach in 2011. He’s responsible for providing support to both the programmatic and technology teams. He currently supports the Management Information System (vrMIS) currently deployed in Mozambique and provides technical support on the system to in-country staff. Jeremy also contributes to the broader OpenLMIS initiative working to create a community around the area of supply chain and logistics information systems.

Jeremy holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas and is pursuing a Masters of Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Guyana 03-05) and has experience in managing informatics public health projects in Southern Africa.

Nathan.Breit

Nathan Breit is an intern working on the mScan project. He recently graduated from the UW with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. He is interested in ICTD and Computer Vision and hope to delve deeper into these fields in the future. He previously worked for the City of Bellevue IT department.
